Outer Space Studio...
Almost simultaneously with the discovery of the Perryverse I became interested in electronic music already in the early 1970s. The unearthly sounds and the complete new paths which are opened with electronic music and its synthesizers, represented a similar leeway than the adventures of PERRY RHODAN and company in the fantastic cosmos of the Perryverse. The interest in science fiction was sparked by the books of Jules Verne. At the same time I collected more and more electronic music from different artists such as Klaus Schulze, with whom I am in touch today, Tangerine Dream, Peter Mergener and many others. The typical structure of this music with long-lasting chords and hypnotic sequences, which is also called "Berlin School" (as many of the artists have been living in Berlin), was fascinating me, and I wanted to compose my own pieces very soon. But the current instruments of the 1970s and early 1980s were absolutely unattainable for me. I also did not have time and patience for assembling a synthesizer kit which was popular then. Therefore, it took a long time until I could realize my musical ideas. After having read some of the adventures written by Hans Kneifel, where the name "Singh Boncard" appeared again and again, I knew that this should be my pseudonym, and I would like to express my gratitude to Pabel-Moewig Verlag again for permitting me to use it. |
